Opposition to Makua, Schofield, Pohakuloa Live Ammunition Practices by the Military in our Hawaiian archipelago;

As recorded in the Meeting held at the Wahiawa District Park on October 7, 2008, Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. approximately,

I, Amelia Kuulei Gora, gave a four (4) minute Opposition to the use of our lands by the Military in Makua, in Schofield, and Pohakuloa.

The following are excerpts of the opposition documented in the midst of uniformed, military personnel, armed police officers looking to arrest people:

' my name is Amelia Kuulei Gora, I write Hawaiian history books, and am the editor of the news on the web the IOLANI - The Royal Hawk......scientists send articles pertaining to DEPLETED URANIUM, the effects, etc.....have you ever seen YouTube and noticed the eight-legged girl, babies with two faces, babies with red bubble eyes, etc......well, that's what happens when DEPLETED URANIUM is used in the environment!

this important article from the New York Times dated January 9, 1893 shows a premeditated move on the part of the U.S. to dethrone our Queen in 1893....seven (7) days later, she was dethroned, and this article found by one of the researchers only two (2) months ago shows that the U.S. did premeditate, and are occupiers in our Hawaiian islands.

Someone used a Hawaiian word "Pono" and I have to say, "How dare you use OUR Hawaiian word to describe all that you have here!" This is NOT PONO!....everything here shows the lands that the military plans to destroy, ruin....what did we do to you people? You've failed to show the toxins, the use of DEPLETED URANIUM, the deleterious effects on people, etc.....there is nothing about what kind of live fire, what it's made of....realistically DEPLETED URANIUM is part of it.....

I am one of Kamehameha's, Isaac Davis, John Young's etals. descendants....and for those who don't know who they were, they were part of our Hawaiian history, the owners of these lands.....the owners still exist.........and I am one of them......for the record, I say NO, you cannot use our lands to muck it up, use military fire to destroy, harm, make toxic, our environment!

I am the Acting Liaison of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Hawaii and I hereby document in this meeting OPPOSITION to the use of military firearms in Hawaii/our Hawaiian Islands....Hawaii is and remains a neutral, non-violent nation....and what does that mean? It means NO MILITARY ARMS, no practices, use of our lands for WAR purposes, etc.

I am on record as having sent e-mails, letters OPPOSING military use of our lands. This testimony will also be sent, recorded as e-mail, etc. and posted around the world as well.

Lastly, as a reminder, rents and leases are due to our Kingdom of Hawaii in the amount of $500 trillion dollars in gold coins per year, retroactively to 1893. Thank you.'

(surprisingly I got claps even though my voice became extremly loud at times. The recording of the meeting was made via video and court reporter notes on the archaic machine for the records.)

For the record, I gave three (3) copies of the PEARL HARBOR TREATY article dated January 9, 1893 to two officers at the front who were prepared to answer questions, and the court reporter. The officers were non-smiling, numb, cold, and likened to dead persons sitting in an upright position.

I left the meeting after another long time researcher named Kealoha Kuhia gave his testimony OPPOSING Live fire, military in Hawaii.

end of meeting notes ----

The following was posted on the English forums:

hi

the U.S. made a move to usurp the Kingdom of Hawaii's Queen, a neutral non-violent nation which is documented and there are ramifications which affects Hawaii and the World........

click on the following and read about the premeditation of the U.S. against friendly Kingdom of Hawaii:

PEARL HARBOR COALING STATION.; IMPERATIVE NECESSITY THAT THE UNITED STATES TAKE POSSESSION.

January 9, 1893, Wednesday

Page 9, 1176 words

WASHINGTON, Jan. 8. -- The United States, through the inactivity of the Navy Department and the indifference of the State Department, is likely to lose the only coaling station of which it stands in real need. Nothing has been done since 1884, when the Pearl Harbor site in the Hawaiian Islands became available, beyond a number of surveys which have abundantly demonstrated the excellence of this harbor as a site for a naval station. Note: the article is dated January 9, 1893......the criminal dethronement of our Queen took place seven (7) days later....

monies of our nation were assumed by criminals, conspirators/terrorists/Pirates of the Pacific for their own government, the U.S. and partner England.

The monies were assumed through President McKinley's Vice President's bank --- because he was an international banker who did international transfers and then sold his bank to the James Morgan bankers, the agents for BANKRUPT U.S. and England in 1893 because both nations (along with France) were in financial straits due to the American Civil War.

Congressmen celebrated the wealth of the U.S. shortly after the wrongful, planned dethronement of our Queen in 1893........did you know that the U.S. was documented in a depression, many of the bankers were going under and out of business and were 'saved' by the investments of the James Morgan bankers ....partners in crime agents.

Roosevelt allowed the Federally owned Federal Reserves to be purchased by private persons, and he allowed the monopoly by the Standard Oil Company (evolved into EXXON Corporation) to continue......Congress failed to control the corporations who had attorneys maintain their existence outside of the U.S. and gain military protection, which included the road to WAR since 1893 ----- Spain got it, Germany got it, Japan got it (including Micronesians), even Iraq.....and the eye to WAR continues....

the U.S. is a brokeass nation that has criminally utilized monies stolen off of a neutral, friendly, non-violent nation.......and everyone needs to take heed due to the financial ruins that it has created for all who have failed to track the history of the evils......... the new world order/One world order is the goal..........

the Bank of England funds both sides of every war.......the U.S. is over the debt level and has been out of control since criminally assuming the Kingdom of Hawaii's assets......a U.S. representative approached our nation for loans and was denied because they wouldn't have paid back for thousands of years the full principal amount, instead they would pay only small amounts of interest...........

although the U.S. acts as the bully in the world for it is a mere "colony of the Crown (of England)", it is a corporation too that is bound like a slave to many nations that it owes monies to..............especially China!

Rents and Leases are owed to our Kingdom of Hawaii in the amount of $500 trillion dollars in gold coins per year retroactively to 1893.....this is an ongoing reminder to U.S. President George W. Bush as well ----this is one of the public notices for the world to see.

aloha,

Amelia Gora, Acting Liaison of Foreign Affairs

Kingdom of Hawaii, Oahu, Hawaii / He Mokupuni Pae Aina o Hawaii

aloha.

She is set to undergo a 40-hour operation to remove half of her limbs. The headless 'twin' is joined to Lakshmi at the pelvis and has its own spinal column and kidney. Without the operation the little girl would never be able to walk or crawl and would be unlikely to live past her early teens, doctors said. Frontpage magazine:

Obama Ascendant
By Jacob Laksin
FrontPageMagazine.com | Wednesday, October 08, 2008

John McCain's strategy before yesterday's second presidential debate in Nashville could be described in three words: stop the bleeding. Trailing in national polls and battleground states, and a distant second choice among voters increasingly worried about the economy, McCain had to accomplish two things. First, he had to reassure voters that he would be a better steward of the economy. Second, he had to spoil the aura of inevitability that is increasingly attached to the Obama campaign. Both were daunting tasks and, in the end, both were beyond McCain's reach.

On the economy, McCain's best opportunity came in the first part of the debate. Here was a chance for McCain to improve on his forgettable performance in the first debate, when he largely echoed his opponent in railing against "greed" on Wall Street while offering little in the way of a substantive policy vision. This time McCain did offer a policy. Unfortunately, the policy that McCain proposed – a dubious $300-billion program for the federal government to buy up bad home mortgages, this on top of the more than $700 billion dollars that Congress has already allocated for the financial bailout package – made one nostalgic for his previous approach.

Among other things, McCain's promise of an expensive new bailout seriously undermined his only other proposal for reversing the financial downturn, namely his pledge to restore fiscal discipline by reigning in wasteful "earmark" spending by the federal government. As a remedy for the ailing economy, that too is problematic. A laudable goal in and of itself, cutting spending would have little impact on the current crisis, a point Obama made effectively when he observed that earmarks account for about $18 billion of the budget – nothing to scoff at, to be sure, but hardly a compelling answer to a credit crunch that has now gone global.

Obama's performance was hardly better here. His much-repeated charge that the "biggest problem in this whole process was the deregulation of the financial system" is patently untrue. As the American Enterprise Institute's Peter Wallison has observed, "the financial sector has seen increased regulation since the savings and loan collapse in the 1980s." And none other than that Republican stalwart, Bill Clinton, has rejected Obama's suggestion that the deregulation of the banking industry is responsible for the current crisis. But McCain declined to challenge the point and Obama, with his secure advantage on the economy – a recent NBC poll found that Obama had a commanding 15-point lead among the 60 percent of respondents who named the economy as their main concern – won the exchange simply by not losing.

Obama further helped his case by appearing the more knowledgeable of the two candidates – even when he was not. One telling moment came when a questioner asked the candidates to explain just how the recent bailout package would work. McCain replied with what may charitably be described as a muddle of clichés and stump-speech snipes at mortgage giants Freddie Mac and Fanny May and Obama. Never did he actually answer the question. For his part, Obama cogently explained just how the bailout would help businesses meet their payroll obligations. One need not have agreed with Obama's misleading suggestion, repeated yet again, that excess deregulation is behind Wall Street's woes, to see that his was the far superior response.

So it went for much of the night. For instance, when asked about the environment, McCain gave a strong defense of nuclear power, pointing out that it was a clean source of energy that would create jobs and reduce dependency on foreign oil. By contrast, Obama presented a rousing mini-lecture on a "new energy economy," one that would have "nuclear power as one component" but which would make substantial investments in "solar, wind, geothermal" power. As the journalist William Tucker has noted, supporting these "alternative" sources over nuclear power is the inverse of a sound energy strategy. In contrast to nuclear power, "[w]indmills and solar collectors remain a very bad investment for one reason -- they produce very little useful electricity." Obama's was seemingly the more thoughtful answer; McCain's merely the correct one.

The sense that McCain was overmatched in the debate was nowhere more apparent than when he tried to maneuver to Obama's Left on foreign policy by accusing the senator of seeking to "attack Pakistan." Of all the ways to raise questions about Obama's judgment on foreign affairs – and there are many – this is surely the least compelling. In the first place, most Americans would probably regard Obama's original statement, in which he promised to launch strikes against al-Qaeda's leadership in Pakistan if "we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf won't act," as unobjectionable. In any case, the U.S. military has already adopted the strategy. This September, to the great displeasure of the Pakistani government, a missile strike by an unmanned U.S. aerial vehicle killed six suspected jihadists in South Waziristan. McCain almost certainly would approve of such counter-terror missions and his strained attempt to make the Pakistan quote an issue must be seen as the act of a desperate man.

Which, of course, he is. In no small part this is due to circumstances beyond his control. In an electoral year unfavorable to Republicans and amid an economic meltdown that has bolstered the Democratic candidate, McCain has run a surprisingly competitive campaign. That the national-security issues (Iraq, terrorism) on which McCain enjoys the edge are no longer a top concern for voters merely confirms the iron rule that, in politics, timing is everything.

Not all is lost for McCain. Polls show that nearly twenty percent of voters have not yet made up made their minds about a candidate, and can be considered "movable" as the election heads towards its finale. But given the combination of Obama's much-improved performance in the second debate and a bevy of polls favoring the Democratic nominee, the McCain campaign must be dreading which way they will move.

Plenty of women are whistleblowers. And plenty lose custody unjustly. But a case in Florida is a rare double whammy, Michele Egan-Byron says. She lost custody of her son after she exposed embezzlement at the nonprofit AIDS Coalition of Volusia & Flagler Counties. Rep. Robert Wexler arranged for a lawyer to represent Egan-Byron.

Tomgram: Chalmers Johnson, The Ultimate Election
Here we are, with ringside seats -- far too close for comfort -- at the Great Global Crash of '08. Nobody's quite calling it that yet, but what else could it be? All over the world yesterday stocks plummeted; the Russian and Brazilian stock indexes went down so precipitously -- 19% and 13% -- that exchanges in both countries were closed for parts of the day; the Indonesian index tumbled an unprecedented 10%; the Paris bourse, 9%; the London FTSE 100, a historic 8%; and the main German index 7%; while, at the New York Stock Exchange, the Dow Jones dipped under 10,000 on its wild ride toward the depths.

In moments like this, if you're an American, you look for ironies. And here's one appropriate to Chalmers Johnson's dispatch below. In the last year, the Bush administration's top officials have sunk much of their increasingly lame-duck energy into pacifying Iraq, and so getting it out of the news and the spotlight at least long enough for election '08 to happen (and undoubtedly long enough as well for them to get out of town in January). And then what happens? The administration is ambushed, not by Sunni militants or Shiite radicals but by its own people: investment bankers, lenders, hedge-fund managers, financial management types -- the very people for whom they organized the world and who had long been playing fast and loose (and profitably) with our economic system. The ambush, of course, took the form of a financial meltdown of massive proportions for which, as in Iraq in 2003, the administration had clearly done no significant preplanning or war-gaming. And, as with the insurgency then, so now they operated by the increasingly worn seats of their pants. Their attempted $700 billion "surge," as stock exchanges around the world indicated yesterday, wasn't likely to pacify a global financial system near cardiac arrest.

And I'm getting to that irony, if you'll just hang on. But first recall the administration's dreams only five years ago. Then, they were convinced that they would create a Pax Americana globally and a Pax Republicana domestically that would last generations. Now, "Bush's brain" Karl Rove is talking about an Obama November victory, while what Iraq started, the economic meltdown looks to be ending.

Here's a sure thing: George W. Bush and Dick Cheney won't make it out of town in time, their wars will remain disasters, their imperial dreams so much smoke, and domestically, they may have created the conditions for a turning-point election that could bring to Washington not only a resurgent Democratic Party, but the first black president of the United States. Quite a record for one "commander-in-chief" presidency. Chalmers Johnson, whose latest book, Nemesis: The Last Days of the American Republic, warned of the possibility of a profligate, militarized U.S. going bankrupt, considers whether, in the ruins of Bush's financial Katrina, an Obama victory and a reconfiguring election are possible, or whether deep-seated racism and embedded regional party loyalties will prove too much even for this catastrophic moment. Tom

Voting the Fate of the Nation
Will Economic Meltdown, Race, or Regional Loyalty Be the Trump Card in Election 2008?
By Chalmers Johnson

In his acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention, Barack Obama called the forthcoming presidential election a "defining moment" in this country's history. It is conceivable that he is right. There are precedents in American history for an election inaugurating a period of reform and political realignment.

Such a development, however, is extremely rare and surrounded by contingencies normally beyond the control of the advocates of reform. So let me speculate about whether the 2008 election might set in motion a political reconfiguration -- and even a political renaissance -- in the United States, restoring a modicum of democracy to the country's political system, while ending our march toward imperialism, perpetual warfare, and bankruptcy that began with the Cold War.

Who Am I?

I am under 45 years old;
I love the outdoors;
I like to hunt;
I am a Republican reformer;
I have taken on the Republican Party establishment; and,
I have several children.
I got a spot on the national ticket as the candidate for vice president with less than two years in the governor's office and my opponents say I don't have enough experience for that job, let alone assume the job of president if something happened to my running mate if he got elected.

Okay, have you guessed who I am?

Scroll down to see if your answer is correct ...

I am Teddy Roosevelt in 1900

Note: Gee, I guess he must have done an okay job despite his lack of 'experience' or he wouldn't be up there on Mt. Rushmore, huh!?
Hmmmmmm ... does this kind of resumé sound familiar?

McCain's Desperate Claim: Obama is Dangerous. Vote for Me If You Want to Live!
AP/Gerald Herbert

Arianna Huffington: The McCain campaign is all set to roll out its message for the last 30 days of the campaign: "We may not be good for your bank account, your mortgage, your health care, or your job security -- but none of that will matter if you are dead. John McCain: If You Want to Live." For the moment, McCain is allowing his high-sticking hockey mom to lead the fear-mongering parade, but Palin's Alaska crude will soon be mixed with McCain's own Maverick mud. At a Colorado town hall last Thursday, McCain was asked, "When are you going to take off the gloves?" His grinning reply: "How about Tuesday night?" So how long into Debate II do you think it will be before McCain brings up Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, or Tony Rezko? Click here to read more.

Jeffrey Feldman: Is Palin Trying To Incite Violence Against Obama?
One wonders at this point how the various agencies charged with the responsibility of protecting the Presidential candidates from violence will respond to this latest tactic from the McCain campaign.

Henry Blodget: Should You Really Panic And Sell Everything Like Cramer Says?
Why does Cramer think you should get out now? Because the market could decline 20% from here. That's possibly the worst justification for selling medium-term holdings I've ever heard.

Lionel Beehner: The Case for Not Going Negative
Obama has learned all the wrong lessons from the swift boat debacle. Kerry got spanked in 2004 because he has the personality of the thimble.

William Bradley: Obama Finally Fastest In TV Ad Wars
It's all negative all the time now in the TV ad wars. For once, Obama has stolen a march on McCain in the campaign hit parade. And his attack strategy seems to be much more on the axis of decision for this election.

Stephen Herrington: McCain Will Raise Your Taxes, Obama Will Raise Your Income
Americans now pay less in taxes than at any time since WWII. The low tax rate, in effect now for eight years, has produced nothing even close to resembling general prosperity.

common with the lyrics used by A Taste of Honey. This is the Cecilio and Kapono version of Sukiyaki. Notice the Lyrics ... Hi I don't normally post on Youtube, but I noticed that not a lot a of people knew about or could find a copy of this version of this song. Both the 4 P.M. and A Taste of Honey versions used the same English-language lyrics, written by Taste of Honey's Janice Marie Johnson. Johnson is quoted in The Billboard Book of Number One R&B Hits by Fred Bronson as saying that when she translated the original Japanese lyrics into English, she found out that the lyrics could be interpreted in three ways: as a man on his way to his execution, as someone trying to be optimistic despite life's trials, or as the story of an ended love affair. "Me being the hopeless romantic that I am," she explained, "I decided to write about a love gone bad." Thus, the English version featured lyrics like: "In reality/You and I will never be/'Cause you took your love away from me." A Taste of Honey, who were quite popular in Japan (Johnson and her bandmate, Hazel Payne, often wore kimonos in concert), also considered their version of the song a tribute to one of the countries where they were most popular, and added a whispered "Sayonara" at the end of the song. Johnson's explanation notwithstanding, the standard English translation of the Japanese lyrics has nothing in common with the lyrics used by A Taste of Honey. This is the Cecilio and Kapono version of Sukiyaki. Notice the Lyrics differ greatly from the taste of honey/4 pm version and more closely resemble the Sakamoto version. 上を向いて歩こう ue o muite arukō ([I] shall walk looking up) 涙がこぼれないように namida ga kobore nai yō ni (so [my] tears won't fall) 思い出す春の日 omoidasu haru no hi (remembering spring days) 一人ぼっちの夜 hitori bocchi no yoru ([on this] lonely night) Sorry, I don't know which album they put this on, I just used that picture so I could make this into music video form and give credit to the original singers.
